I love pizza, as evident by all my visits to Anthony’s in Weston. What’s better than pizza? Fast pizza, made just the way you want it! When I first heard about Blaze Pizza I was really excited about the concept and couldn’t wait until it opened up local to me in Davie, Florida.

So what is Blaze Pizza and why do I like it so much? Think of what Chipotle is for burritos, and apply that concept to pizza making. You basically run through an assembly line and get a personal pizza made to order with whatever you want on it. They also have a few signature pizzas that you can choose from if you don’t want to build your own, but why not get just what you like? All this for only about $8 for an 11-inch pizza and it’s ready within 5 minutes from their blazing hot oven.
There are a few different sauces to choose from, including a classic red sauce, a white sauce, and some more spicy options. I always go with the classic red but I’m sure I’ll venture into one of the other options sometime and see what they’re all about.
As for cheeses, you have your choice of mozzarella, pesto, ricotta, goat, gorgonzola, parmesan and a few others. I’m a fan of loading it up with mozzarella, sprinkling a few dabs of ricotta all around it, and topping it off with some parmesan.
After your sauces and cheeses, you’re on to the meat choices. There’s no shortage of options here. I pretty much make a carnivore pizza with ham, bacon, pepperoni, meatballs, and spicy sausage.
Then you’re on to all of the veggies. I keep mine pretty barren of vegetables, but that’s just my choice. There are a lot of different veggies at Blaze, including artichokes, arugula, banana peppers, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil, mushrooms, olives, onions, spinach… the list goes on.
Once you have all that, you can finish it off with some spices such as oregano, sea salt and others. When you’re done making your pizza, they throw it in their super hot oven and it’s ready to eat in just a few minutes!
All in all, this place makes a delicious pizza and I love getting it just the way I want it. You can take the whole family and everyone can eat the kind of pizza that they want. No fighting over what to get! With fast and friendly service, fresh ingredients, tons of choices to customize your very own pizza, and large portion size at an affordable price, this has become one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner whenever I’m in the Davie area.
